Enameled embossed copper bowl
Paolo De Poli
This bowl was designed and executed by Paolo De Poli for his own manufacturer in c. 1960. As all his reknown pieces, it is made of embossed enameled copper, it is signed under the base and bears some torn remains of the label "De Poli Padova". In its inner part, it features a beautiful abstract decor ranging from silver to platinum, from azure to light pink; while on the outer side has an uniform deeep blue.
The piece has been masterfully restored as it presented some lacks of varnish, but some signs of wear such as small scratches are still visible as part of the life of the object.
De Poli collaborated extensively with Gio Ponti for a large series of pieces, while persuing for all his own carreer the absolute excellence in his field.
