Vase and 2 plates from the Peanuts series
Giulio Lazzotti & Casigliani
This set includes three pieces designed by Giulio Lazzotti for the Tuscan manufacture Casigliani, part of the series called “Peanuts”: a vase and two plates of different diameters. Composed of Bardiglio marble and slate, these objects play on the contrasts between the shiny surface of the marble and the matte surface of the slate, while remaining on similar tones, creating a rendering of great elegance. Designed in 1981, they have been included in the permanent collection of MoMa New York since 1982.
The plates are in excellent condition, with minimal signs of wear due to time, while the vase was professionally restored because the top had come unglued and one side was scratched, restoring it to a very good state.
