Pair of “Joe” wall or ceiling lights
This pair of lamps was designed by Ezio Didone for Arteluce in the late 1970s, at a time when the company founded by Gino Sarfatti had come under the management of Flos. Didone was one of the manufacture's main designers, along with Bruno Gecchelin and others.
They are very versatile light fixtures, since they can be attached to both wall and ceiling, as well as used both outdoors and indoors.
Their design includes elements typical of the transitional period between radical and postmodern design, such as the use of plastic materials, graphic lines, and a pop appearance, resembling a crooner's microphone.
The lamps are stock funds, therefore in excellent condition with patina of time with no significant signs of use. When used on the wall, they can be fixed at either 90 degrees or 45 degrees. The lampshade is easily removed for cleaning.
The Arteluce mark is present.
