After graduating in art Franco Bucci (1933 - 2002) starts his carreer specializing in enameled metal objects. In the late 1950s he starts carafting ceramics, working with Federigo Fabbrini for Virreoy & Boch.
In 1960s he wins a silver metal at the Triennale. In 1961 he rounds, toghether with Nanni Valentini, the manufacturer “Laboratorio Pesaro”, where he will work for all his lifetime.
During his long carreer he is aknowledged as one of the most important Italian ceramic artists, winner of many prizes. His works are displayed on many exhibitions. After his death, the MIC museum in Faenza, the most important ceramic art museum, dedicates him a retrospective on the centennial of his birth.
